We’re Aamie and Michael—along with our toddler daughter, Evie—the family behind H’Evans Acres.

In September 2023, we purchased nearly 39 acres of land to pursue our dream of farm life. After a year and a half of immigration hurdles, Aamie (originally from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada) was finally able to move with her family to Kansas and in March 2025, our homesteading journey truly began.

Today, our little farm is home to 2 horses, 46 fowl (a mix of chickens and guineas), 2 sheep, and 2 hardworking livestock guardian dogs. Every day brings new lessons as we learn the ropes of homesteading, raise our family, and share the experience with you.

Aamie streams on Twitch as Aamie’s Acres, where she brings together crafting and country living—with the occasional live farm chore. When she’s not streaming, she’s busy raising our daughter and filming/editing content for our H’Evans Acres YouTube channel. With a background in TV, radio, and over 15 years as a professional photographer, storytelling through content creation is second nature to her.

Michael works in IT, providing the technical backbone that keeps our projects running smoothly, from behind-the-scenes support to lending his problem-solving skills around the farm. Together, we’re combining creativity, technology, and hands-on learning to grow not just our farm—but a lifestyle.
